Seeking an experienced, forward-thinking team player to provide direction and leadership for YMCA operations and service delivery, including membership, marketing, public relations, programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, community relations and collaborations with community agencies.
The YMCA's total operating budget is $11 million and a member base of 4,600.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, develop, and evaluate the staff directors/coordinators.
Oversee development of and implement, monitor and achieve association operating budgets.
Responsible for the control of expenditures and production of income in line with the approved budgets.
Take appropriate action to ensure acceptable financial operating results.
Works directly with assigned committee(s) of the board to build volunteer relationships, recommend policies, oversee policy implementation and meet the related needs of the board.
Directs the volunteer activities (program) of the YMCA.
Ensure that programs are managed with a high level of competence and that services are responsive to the needs of the community.
Recommend, monitor, implement and evaluate program objectives and plans consistent with strategic objectives of the association.
Provide support to the association in developing effective and consistent marketing efforts.
Work with marketing & communications to plan, develop and implement association's membership and marketing plans that include member service, new member recruitment and promotional efforts.
Work with volunteer leadership and staff to ensure the proper care and maintenance of properties and equipment, both short and long term.
Assist with developing annual capital improvement plan and assist in management and control of projects, including associated costs management.
Monitor association facilities, properties and maintenance needs as required to safeguard and support all program areas.
Assists with and provides leadership to the financial development activities of the YMCA.
Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
Participates in strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of the YMCA to support the strategic plan.
Maintain accurate records for control, evaluation, and reporting for the association when applicable.
Develops and directs high quality member engagement strategies and programs which support Association mission, goals, and strategies and ensures all programs meet all regulations and certifications as they apply.
Serves as a member of the YMCA senior leadership team and support the overall objectives of the YMCA.
Attends staff meetings and trainings.
Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
Completes reports as necessary.
Execute other duties and responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications:
1.
Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent.
2.
Six or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
3.
Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
4.
Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.
5.
Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations.
6.
Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
7.
YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred.
8.
Certifications:
CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
